Summary of Project:
The Client provides a state-of- the-art global environment via a portfolio of application development and implementation, application operations and is recognized as knowledge leader in this domain.

The aim of the Competence Groups (CG) is to deliver skilled and experienced professionals against competitive pricing at the three main processes of IT Applications: project, change and service management. The CG's are responsible for driving actively business application technology and for developing and maintaining product policies and standards in order to safeguard the maximum benefit of a higher degree of commonality.

The CG Microsoft is capable of creating IT solutions in a fast and structured way. The focus of the CG Microsoft is on executing projects to deliver and support collaboration and workflow solutions. The applications are created using Microsoft technologies like .Net, SharePoint and MS SQL.

Description of Assignment:
Pilot project to develop a knowledge management solution for an upcoming business unit

Deliverables:
The most important tasks/responsibilities of the Software Engineer are:
1) Developing (complex) Microsoft .Net/Silverlight applications;
2) Creating the documentation of those applications. (User and administrator manuals, training material and technical documentation);
3) Occasional give user training/instruction (in relevant cases);
4) Functioning as a 'soundboard' and participating in the problem solving process to create (software technical) solutions.

In performing the job the Software Engineer has to adhere to all rules, regulations and procedures within IT-Applications and within the CG Microsoft department.

Specific Job Characteristics:
The Software Engineer needs to have knowledge about or expertise in:
•Methods and Techniques of Software Engineering.
•Giving advice (about used techniques and methods)
•Process analysis
•Creating Functional Designs
•Developing applications
•Training to end users
•Occasionally giving (3rd line) support to the user population.

Language Skills:
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
