The provision of advice, assistance, and leadership in any area associated with the procurement, provision, delivery, maintenance or effective use of information systems and their environments. The type of consultancy can deal with one specific aspect of IS, or it can be wide ranging and address many aspects, or it can be of a strategic nature. Job Description Support the global infrastructure for Subsurface applications used by Exploration and Production professionals. Applications include Landmark Coporate Data Store and Openworks which are supported for the Data Management and Geomatics community. Currently we are looking for a candidate to strengthen the team covering CDS and OW R5000 operations as well as involvement in a variety of CDS specific projects.

Main activities:
- Global technical Support for CDS including root cause analysis, incident management, impact analysis and technical resolutions.
- Close working relationship with the end users and IT outsourced suppliers to deliver a stable end to end Business Critical service
- End to End problem management and monitoring across various technical areas
- Communicate, document, test and deploy critical major upgrades and releases of CDS globally Lead and/or participate in global pro-active CDS service enhancements on (server focused)
- Application access and security, recovery & tuning, storage monitoring - Implementation of test and acceptance environments for R5000 applications
- Document, maintain and improve service performance metrics
- On boarding (technical, support, finance) of new CDS functionality into the service
- Development of CDS technical infrastructure roadmaps (covering applications, middleware, database and operating system versions)
- Plan and participate in global CDS/PH ever greening activities (new releases, security patches, application upgrades) - Maintain and implement new technologies and best practices
- Translating customer requirements in infrastructure design and managing component infrastructure providers delivery on new requirements

Must have:
- Good Exposure to CDS and Powerhub Infrastructure and design
- Infrastructure hosting skills focused on the RHEL OS
- CDS and PowerHub maintenance skills including patching and upgrades, performance monitoring.
- Pro-active attitude - propose and execute technical and service related improvements.
- Customer focused and pro-active attitude - enjoy customer facing, taking end-to-end responsibility.
- Be able to work with various specialized multinational support teams to bring complex requests or problems to timely resolution.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- In-depth analytical and troubleshooting skills on a variety of platforms.
- Open to new challenges and good adaptability to various technical environments
- Strong willingness to learn, improve and share knowledge Nice-to-have/preferred:
- CDS/Openworks data type knowledge.
- Project management or Technical project lead experience.
- Experience participating in a virtual team of people delivering services/projects
- Experience in multinational/multicultural enterprise.
- Exposure to the Exploration and Production business, preferably in the Subsurface/Geomatics arena
The successful candidates might be required to participate in an on-call rota and/or perform out of hours work.
